There was a minor scare at the local wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Lagos on Friday as a light aircraft belonging to Jet Air crashed into a fence at the General Aviation Terminal.
The King Air 200 jet, with registration number 5N-HIS, is being operated by Mobil Oil Nigeria-Wings Aviation.
The accident caused a major damage to the plane.
It was learnt that the aircraft was trying to park at a tarmac beside Bristow Helicopter hangar when the incident happened.
The cause of the incident was not yet revealed but sources said it might not be unconnected with the malfunctioning of the brake.
Officials of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) also visited the scene to assess the extent of the damage.
